It’s more accurate than a visual check alone and takes the guesswork out of inspecting your fuel. The Shell Water Detector is able to find even the most finely dispersed undissolved water in your jet fuel so you can set up your water removal system before you take off.
Shell AER3019 Water Detector can be used in the following applications immediately after drawing jet fuel: A road vehicle or RTW sample before discharge into airport storage; Bottom samples from airport tanks immediately before release; Fueller and trailer compartment drain samples after each replenishment, hydrant dispenser filter drain samples after each aircraft fueling; Fueller filter drain samples after the first aircraft fueling, after filling or topping up either fueller or trailer; Drain samples from filtration equipment on hydrant delivery and refueller loading rack delivery.
Shell Water Detector is sold by the case. Each case contains eight tubes and each tube has 10 pills. You will need a few additional pieces of equipment in addition to the Shell jet fuel water test kit in order to test your fuel. The following equipment is recommended:
